Today I’m grateful to be able to spend Thanksgiving with the Capellmans. I appreciate the many cooks that contributed to the abundance of food, and I appreciate that even though many of them have a second Thanksgiving dinner to attend, they take the time to hang out with us.

I’m also grateful that my Dad has let us borrow one of his cameras in prep for our upcoming trip to Ireland, and we’ve been able to try it out during this trip.

Today I’m grateful that:

  • We got to spend our first Thanksgiving with our soon-to-be sister-in-law Jen! She is a more than worthy addition to the family :)
  • We had more food at the table than 14 people were able to consume. We take that for granted all too often.
  • Although I wasn’t able to be home in Boston for Thanksgiving, I’m grateful to my brother Tommy for filling in by hosting, and happy that my Grandma Doyer was feeling healthy enough to join them.

Post-Thanksgiving Giving Thanks

Here we go! Things I am grateful for today:

  • The chance to spend time this week with my sister, Heather, visting from California
  • That my brother, Tommy, and Chad did so much post-Thanksgiving meal cleaning up last night and this morning that I hardly had to lift a finger.
  • A husband who enjoys making pancakes!
