Today I’m grateful that the Bruins beat the Canucks 8-1.
- From all reports, the Bruins’ Nathan Horton is moving his extremities in recovery at Mass General after one of the nastiest hockey hits in recent memory. Scary stuff. Here’s hoping his health continues to improve, and that there aren’t long-lasting effects for him. And I hope Karma comes back to bite the offender, the Canucks’ Rome, in the ass real soon …
- After painful losses in the first two games, and a bone-rattling hit to Horton early in the game, the Bruins turned around and just flat-out kicked the asses of the Canucks. This series is so far from over.
- I can’t decide what my favorite part of tonight was: Lighting up Luongo for eight goals, including slipping in the last three shots of the game … the phenomenal defensive play … Tim Thomas acting like a linebacker on Henrik Sedin, never mind his ridiculous 40 saves … the two short-handed goals … all the chippy plays … or maybe most of all Lucic just nailing Biting Burrows in his junk and following it up with a punch to the back of the head. I know, there’s an argument to be made for not stooping to the level of the cheap-shot artists, but you know, that one is just fine with me. I hope Milan Lucic sleeps well tonight…
