Grateful Blog

Today I’m grateful that:

• Despite a long, late and difficult night bleeding into the morning, Chad and I eventually made it to church and were able to spend time talking with Bob, the minister who married us and has been like a second father to Chad throughout his life. Hard to imagine having left Maryland without getting some words of wisdom from Bob to try to help us sort out the events of the past week.
• Southwest was kind to us when we realized that Chad mistakenly booked our trip home going in the wrong direction. When I explained why Chad’s head has not been completely clear this week, they didn’t hesitate to waive the fees and re-book us going in the right direction. Whew! (I still hate the cattle call that is Southwest and prefer JetBlue, but I do appreciate good customer service!)
• We got home, eventually, despite mix-ups, delays, and a whole lot of turbulence thrown in just for good measure!
